A lapwing flew silently south across the fields this morning. A lonely harbinger of the arrival of the Migrant Waders.
On the doormat greeting our return from the morning walk was my lovely, fresh from Dunlin Press, new book. Illustrated by Ella Johnston’s beautiful watercolours, The Migrant Waders brings together poetry, essay, science and art between a haze of blue/green covers.
I am proud that my Sea-Pie essay has winged its way into the book and I will be at the launch in Colchester to celebrate.
